Parga is the most popular summer destination in the prefecture of Epirus, in Greek Mainland. It is a small town nestling in a secluded bay of the Ionian Sea and features an intense island feeling. The colourful houses of Parga are constructed amphitheatrical on the slopes of a mount, offering amazing sea views. A green islet with a white church stands at the entrance of the port, while the ruined walls of a Venetian castle can be seen on top of a hill above the town. Parga is mainly famous for the amazing beaches with the exotic water as well as for the convenience offering to go on a day trip to Sivota, Preveza and even Lefkada.

Though there are some large hotels in Parga but accommodation mostly consists of studios, self-catering apartments and traditional rooms to rent.

The nearby beaches of Lichnos and Valtos are also offering some good accommodations, mainly small hotels and family apartments right on the beach.

Parga Greece is famous for the fabulous beaches in the surrounding region. The most beautiful beach is Valtos, an enormous bay with blue green water and many facilities. Lichnos and Sarakiniko are also nice beaches, as Parga main beach usually gets very crowded. Parga is connected by boat with Valtos, Lichnos and Sarakiniko.
Traditional restaurants and tavernas are spreaded along the port and the beaches of Parga.

Interesting sights to visit is the Venetian Castle on top of a rock above the town and the Ottoman Castle in Anthoussa. Additionally, a place of amazing natural beauty is the springs of River Acherontas, surrounded by lush greenery. From these springs trekking paths start to the surrounding mountain.
